And the next thing I knew

with carded condolences from my head to flowers surrounding my horizontal toes.
Sister Agatha The Great was at my palm
reading my fortune (never really saying what she found).
Then there was that nasally Numismatist Numerologist Nigel
counting my faults in equations out loud
fifteenfiftythree, fifteen fifty four (gawd)
and finally
Rasputin chanting cryptic incantations while circling stones
Throwing bones into burning sand and reading the smoke
Smelling up the whole room with Vodka sweat & damp Russian socks
I was a little sick of it all and asked everyone to leave was the last thing I remember.
