I am soaring the cool night just under the full moon

then quietly gliding

surveying the silent stars

and there you are, earthbound,

object of desire,

the destination at the end of a line of loneliness 1000 miles long.

I have been waiting in line for years

for a minute of your kisses

for a lie from your lips

to last me an eternity
